Meet the Teachers

Ms. Gabbi

Ms. Gabbi brings joy, energy, and a love for movement to everything she does. Born and raised in the Quiet Corner, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and finds her peace at the beach or out on a hike. Her favorite season is summer, and she loves to travel and explore new places. Known for her spontaneous classroom dance parties, Ms. Gabbi keeps her students smiling, confident, and full of positive energy every day.

Ms. Margaret

Ms. Margaret lives locally with her husband and three daughters and loves spending time in nature. Her favorite activities include kayaking, hiking, and gardening at home, and she recently enjoyed visits to Block Island and the Finger Lakes in New York. Ms. Margaret has a deep knowledge of the natural world—she can identify countless plants, bugs, and birds—and she inspires children to observe, ask questions, and appreciate nature’s beauty. She’s also the teammate everyone can count on for a helping hand and a kind word.

Ms. Jessye

Ms. Jessye lives locally with her husband, daughter, and an incredible menagerie of animals—including chickens, two geese, dogs, cats, and a bearded dragon named Toothless. She enjoys riding dirt bikes, fishing, hiking, and crafting. Her spirit animal, the blue heron, symbolizes self-reliance, determination, and grace—qualities she brings to her classroom every day. Jessye’s patience, creativity, and kindness shine through in everything she does, making her an essential part of our White Barn family.

Ms. Jess

If you know Ms. Jess—or if your child has been lucky enough to be in her class—you already know how special she is. Sweet, kind, and endlessly patient, she works with our youngest learners and creates a classroom filled with love, laughter, and wonder. Ms. Jess lives locally with her husband, two children, and four lively pups, and she loves family adventures outdoors, especially exploring rivers and forests. Her calm presence and nurturing spirit make her classroom a place where every child feels safe, loved, and ready to learn.

Ms. Danielle

Ms. Danielle Wallace is the Director of The White Barn Children’s Centre and brings more than two decades of experience in early childhood education. A CT-certified teacher with a master’s degree in Early Childhood and Special Education, Danielle spent 13 years teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten before shifting her focus to nature-based learning. She is passionate about connecting children to the outdoors through hands-on exploration, creativity, and curiosity. Outside of school, Danielle enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking with her family, training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and cheering on her son, Jacoby, at soccer games. Her calm leadership and love of learning shine through in everything she does.

Nurse Sara

Ms. Sara serves as the School Nurse for both The White Barn Children’s Centre and Linda’s House Pediatric Daycare & Preschool. With nearly seven years of nursing experience—most of which has been in pediatrics—she brings a calm, caring presence and a strong commitment to children’s health and safety. Outside of work, Sara enjoys hiking and off-roading adventures with her husband, Brett, and their beloved pets. As part of the White Barn community, she strives to provide families with peace of mind knowing their children are safe, healthy, and well cared for each day.

Ms. Pauline

Ms. Pauline brings over 25 years of experience in early childhood education and a wealth of knowledge to our team. Her favorite season is fall, when she enjoys long walks along the Airline and River Trails. Pauline’s spirit animal is the hawk, symbolizing intuition, clarity, and the ability to see the bigger picture while focusing on the details that matter most. She fills her classroom with creativity and thoughtful preschool readiness ideas, helping children grow with confidence and curiosity.
